Call us to arrange a tarp over your roof and lessen interior damage
- Large, 20-foor square tarps go over damaged areas to halt leaks and further damage. Each tarp will be firmly nailed to the remaining shingles or roof framing. If necessary, it will be placed over a chimney or commercial HVAC using bungee cords.
Rapid response gives you the emergency roof repair estimate you need
- You and your insurance claims adjuster require a detailed estimate in a timely manner. Our founder, Crystal Anderson, is an Insurance Claims Expert, and will personally lead you through the process of securing the largest possible benefit from your insurer.
Steps you can take immediately after you call for emergency roof repair
- Protect the interior of your home or business. Move appliances, furniture, desks, computers and inventory. Bear in mind, it may be hail damage now but once it rains, it becomes water damage, too. Catch the dripping water in a bucket, or empty garbage can if it’s a heavy flow.
- If you have any kind of plastic sheeting, use it inside. Don’t attempt to cover any openings yourself on the outside of the roof, but nailing it up from the inside may provide some relief.
- Inspect with binoculars ONLY. Do not climb on the roof to check the extent of damage or the source of a leak. Please leave on-roof inspection to our emergency roof repair professionals. Through binoculars, look for holes, missing shingles, dented metal vents, indentations, or other obvious signs of damage.
We understand that getting the tarp off, and the protection of your roof, is priority one. The experience and skill of our installers ensures the work is completed efficiently. Plus, it’s done right the first time so there are no delays for “fixes”.
Factors affecting emergency roof repair estimates:
- How many shingles, tiles or sections of roof membranes will have to be taken off?
- What condition is the decking underneath? Might it need to be replaced? In cases of fire it almost always will be.
- Is there any damage to the decking that will need repair?
- Do you need insulation replaced?
- Is there wet wood in the framing?
- Is there damage around chimneys, turbines, vents, or HVAC? (Sheet metal flashing is often compromised and must be replaced as part of emergency roof repair).
- How accessible is the roof being repaired? This affects labor and timeline.
Insurance and reimbursement
When the work is completed to your satisfaction, this is usually when your insurer will issue the final check. You may have received partial payments on a staggered basis, or you may get full repayment at one time. We understand this when dealing with insurance related projects.
